Discoveries

Ricochet

He was finally free, wandering after he had escaped from Skagenrak. He knew there were humans searching for himself and the rest of his kind, wanting to "rescue" all the beautiful horses, but he wanted to stay free for a few more days before letting himself be taken. This planet, universe, whatever you wanted to call it, was a beautiful one, filled with lush green plains, freezing and sparkling clear rivers, as well as huge towering white-capped mountains which seemed to touch the sky.
He liked this new land, especially considering that he had not yet encountered a single dragon. He stopped for a second to again survey his surroundings, hoping he hadn't jinxed himself, and that was when he realised that two figures- one big, one small- were approaching him.

Ashley

Ashley was mad, so mad. The memories of her mountain tumble wouldn't leave her alone, always appearing at the most inopportune moments and disrupting her sleep. She wanted to forget once and for all, and she reasoned that maybe going even farther away from where it had all happened would finally lead to the memories leaving her alone. So she started walking towards the base of the mountain away from the snow and the forest she had been living in for who knows how long.
Once she was out of the forest, what lay beyond took her breath away. Space. Not like the treacherous slopes and inclines of the Sundarian mountain, but flat and... green. Just green, green, green, going on for forever and ever and ever. Not like the forest's green, which was cold and damp, but warm and sun-touched. It was beautiful, and she never wanted to leave. That was when she saw two shapes in the distance, silhouettes that disturbed the flatness of the landscape. 
She decided to investigate, intrigued at what they could be, and when she came closer was still not sure what the larger shape was.  However, the smaller shape was obvious: it was a Raelan. At this revelation Ashley shrank back. Was she really ready to meet a Raelan again? She almost ran away at the thought, but then curiosity about the larger unidentified creature stopped her. She thought The Raelan wouldn't hurt me... hopefully and continued forwards.

Miss Kitty

She had been alone for quite some time, ever since she woke up in that cave. She still didn't know who she was, or what had happened before that moment of waking- so she decided to wander this beautiful land in search for answers. After seeing only grass, and some huge mountains in the distance for days, she caught sight sight of two strangers: a Raelan like her (albeit quite a small one) and a... horse. She had no idea where she had gotten those words from, but they made sense to her.
She considered running away for a moment- after all, who knows what danger those strangers could pose- but in the end knew she was going to meet them. If I don't meet anyone, how else am I ever going to get my memories back? she thought. Then she went to go and meet them.

The three strangers met after a few minutes of walking through the sea of bent grass, bowed over from years of incessant wind blowing through the plains. While the wind did not blow now, the air was still cool and fresh, they sky empty of clouds and the sun sinking away into some far away part of the firmament, only hinting at its true presence.
At first, no one spoke- they simply observed each other in mute curiosity. Eventually, not being able to take the silence anymore, the smallest- a fragile-looking grey Raelan- spoke a timid "Hello". The horse and other Raelan observed her for a few seconds- the Raelan, with droopy eyelids which just emanated kindness, and the horse with an inscrutable expression on his face- but said nothing. Not, at least, until the horse suddenly smiled and said "Well, I do believe we have a lot of explaining to do."
